Synopsis
“If you are looking for the truth, you must ask seven brothers.“
Chinese proverb
Seven brothers (born between 1929 and 1945) come to a neutral space to individually tell their family’s story from Mülheim. Seven different paths in life attest to a rarely heard generation whose childhood ended or just began with the “Stunde Null“ in 1945.
An intimate mosaic between the brothers emerges forming a type of family universe mirroring German history in an unusual way. A documentary experiment! Storytelling at its best.
