Synopsis
During the Iraq war, when emotions are high, we stroll along the area around the Friedrichstrasse train station. The song IRRLICHT from the WINTERREISE inspires my walks along the bridge between Tränenpalast and Schiffbauerdamm – above me, the trains, below me, the river! QUARTER OF ILLUSIONS is a stream of consciousness documentary on the subject homeland: “which since the first book of Moses has been a foundation for the loss of culture.“
